Review:
From when we first meet Piper and Kyle in the prologue, their personalities are at odds. From apparent mistaken identity, to her telling him she’s not a country music fan, I knew they would have a rocky (but interesting) road ahead of them. One of the first things he tells her is “I’ll write a song that has nothing to do with beer or trucks or heartbreak, just for you” within minutes of meeting her.
This wasn’t your typical workplace romance, because the majority of the book doesn’t take place in your typical office setting, but considering she’s sent to convince him to sign the new contract for the record label they both work for, I’d consider it workplace romance! If you read and loved “Makes the Heart Grow Fouler” by Carrie Aarons, I think you’ll also enjoy this one!
