The six authors contributing to the sports anthology are Saffron Kent, Becca Steele, S.J. Sylvis, Ki Stephens, Jay McLean, and (my fave!) Maggie Rawdon.

There are six awesome stories in “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” but today I’m excited to talk about Maggie Rawdon’s story, “Onside Recovery”! We first met Gabe in “Pick Six,” Xander and Harper’s love story, and the first book in Maggie Rawdon’s Seattle Phantom Football trilogy. It was fun to go back to Seattle for Gabe and Aurora’s story in “Hit Me with Your Best Shot”!!
We see Gabe quite a bit differently in this story — not in a bad way either way, just a different side of him. We get to see his dynamic with his teenage daughter, Gin, and how he and Aurora navigate themselves individually, together, and with Gin in the mix.
The story is short, so I don’t want to talk too much and give anything away, but I really enjoyed getting to go back to the Seattle Phantom, even if it was just a little bit.
As always, I recommend the anthology for 18+ due to some of the sexual content, but also as always, don’t let me tell you what to do!
