I make a lot of posts about new books coming out that I want to read, so I thought that I would make one about the books that I have on my TBR pile that are the first ones in a series that I want to read. 🙂 Again, no particular order! (These are books where I already own the first one! A post about brand new ones will be coming soon!)
1. “Paper Princess” – Erin Watt
I have the first book in the series, and I really want to read it! I’ve heard a ton of good things.
2. “Until Friday Night” – Abbi Glines
Y’all know I love books about sports (even though I’m not a huge fan of sports IRL), so this series seems right up my alley!
3. “City Love” – Susanne Colasanti
I actually have this whole trilogy, but haven’t gotten around to reading them yet.
4. “Catching Jordan” – Miranda Kenneally
I’ve actually read a few out of this series, but not the series as a whole, or the first book, even though I own them all.
5. “Red Queen” – Victoria Aveyard
I’ve read the first two and the novellas, and even though I have the last two, the ending of the second book tore me up so much I couldn’t bring myself to read the next two when they came out!
6. “Dividing Eden” – Joelle Charbonneau
Although I have this book and its sequel, I haven’t found time to read them yet!
7. “Famous In Love” – Rebecca Serle
I have the first one, and was excited when the TV show came out! (Even though Freeform cancelled it!) I want to read and watch it this year.
8. “The Thousandth Floor” – Katherine McGee
I’ve bought all the book, but haven’t read them yet. The premise is amazing!
9. “Lady Midnight” – Cassandra Clare
While I’ve read almost all the Shadowhunters novels, I haven’t read “The Dark Artifices” despite owning them all. I feel like I should reread all the other books first, and I just don’t have time to do that yet.
10. “You Don’t Know My Name” – Kristen Orlando
I read this first book and absolutely adored it! With the third and final installment having been released on January 8, I have to finish the trilogy!
I’ve heard so many good things about Cassandra Clare’s series, but THERE’S SO MANY OF THEM and THEY’RE ALL SO BIG and I have SO MANY OTHER BOOKS I NEED TO READ screeeeeeeeeeem
Red Queen is also on my TBR 😀

The Thousandth Floor was really good– in a guilty pleasure Pretty Little Liars kind of way?? The premise was really fun. Until Friday Night is on my TBR too. I really liked The Vincent Boys & I love sports stories too!! I’ll be on the lookout for what you think of it!

That’s good to hear about The Thousandth Floor! (I also love the covers, they’re gorgeous!) It’s not a series, but have you read “Scoring Wilder” by R.S. Grey? I have a review of it coming out the first week in February. It’s new adult, about soccer players. There is a sort of companion novel that I just started, too. If you like sports romances, I think you’ll like that one!

Dividing Eden is on my list for sure too. Same with Lady Midnight, but I actually never read the sixth City of Bones book and I feel like I need to read that first, but then I don’t remember what happened in the first five books so I feel like I need to reread and it’s just too much haha!

Same! I read City of Heavenly Fire, but that was probably…four or so years ago? So I remember certain plot points, but not enough for me to really see all the crossovers in the new series.

Yeah…I’m sure it doesn’t even really matter, but I like easter eggs so if they exist I want to catch them!

I need to get to Red Queen one of these days, but my list of unread popular YA series is growing constantly and I will never catch up!

That’s how I feel too! Especially with books in the Shadowhunters series, or any longer series, where I feel like I need to reread EVERYTHING in order to get the full experience of the new books, and I just don’t have the time for that yet.
