Tracy Wolff’s highly anticipated novel, “Crave” was just released this Tuesday. On Monday, it was announced that Universal has already picked up the film rights for the book! With the cover looking like it came straight out of the Twilight series, it’s no wonder that people are already drawing comparisons between the two. In fact, some people are already calling it a sort of “feminist Twilight.”
As an avid fan of the Twilight saga during my teens (my friends and I, juniors and seniors in college, definitely started a Twilight movie marathon at the start of last month, pre-stay-at-home order), I immediately knew this book would pique my interest the second I saw the cover. (New Moon, anyone?) I hope I get to read a copy of the book soon, and that we hear more news about the film! Read the book’s synopsis below, and check out the cover. Let me know what you think in the comments!
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me.
Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me.
Which could spell death for us all.
Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally—as the bait.
Looks like a brilliant cover!

I fear that I am going to have to read this book, especially now with movie (film) rights picked up! They really couldn’t do anything different with the cover though? I mean, vampires and boarding school….I was going to read it anyway, but..I’m just saying. Looking forward to giving it a shot!

Yeah, I totally get the appeal of making the cover look like Twilight, but being TOO similar makes it seem like it’s IN the series…
