Blair Holden’s Wattpad Series “The Bad Boy’s Girl” to be Adapted to Film

You read that title right — Wattpad has announced that Blair Holden’s “The Bad Boy’s Girl” will be adapted to film by Wattpad/Wattpad Studios and Leone Film Group. The production and distribution company based in Italy has optioned the entire series, planning to turn it into a teen romance series.

Leone Film Group handled the Italian distribution of the first two films in the “After” series that have been released so far, “After” and “After We Collided.” (ICYMI: Two additional films, a prequel and a sequel, are also in the works. The final two films in the “After” series, “After We Fell” and “After Ever Happy” are currently in post-production after filming last year.)

What’s “The Bad Boy’s Girl” about?

Tessa O’Connell is a girl as ordinary as they come-or so she thinks. Her aim for senior year is to keep her head down yet somehow manage to convince her childhood love Jay Stone to love her back. What she isn’t prepared for is for Jay’s brother, Cole to return to town and change the life she’s always been seemingly content to live. Tall, gorgeous as all hell and a bad boy with ocean blue eyes and the perfect edge of adorability, he was her greatest tormentor, her number one enemy. But the guy that’s come back is like no one Tessa’s ever come across. He challenges her, he tests her limits, he forces her to bring out the girl she’s long ago buried under a veil of mediocrity and most of all he compels her to consider that perhaps the boy that infuriates her to the point of no return might just her guardian angel.

What’s “The Bad Boy’s Heart” about?

Tessa O’Connell is a girl as in love as possible. For a moment she had it all: friends, family, and the promise of a forever love. But could she end up losing it all? The crippling pain of heartbreak is fresh, and as Tessa struggles to move on in the wake of tragedy, her goal becomes to protect her heart at all costs. But it’s a task not made easy by the devastatingly gorgeous Cole Stone, who seems to have shattered her beyond repair. As Cole and Tessa manage to find their way back to one another, they embark on yet another new chapter in their lives. While attempting to navigate her first year of college, it becomes apparent to Tessa that everyone has their eyes set on Cole Stone. When status quo, clingy college girls, old insecurities, and her slightly neurotic tendencies cause her to question whether she can actually make the relationship work, it’s up to Cole to show her that he’s never letting go, not again. But even for Cole Grayson Stone it’s not easy to convince his Shortcake of his never ending devotion as time apart, communication problems, and a quirky new group of friends start to unravel the delicate thread that binds the two together. Can the boy who once protected her from the world protect Tessa from herself?

What’s “The Bad Boy’s Forever” about?

Tessa O’Connell is a girl with an unbreakable spirit and a strength that will get her through anything and this strength is one she needs now more than ever before. Through the two big chapters of her life, her goal remains to be fearless and make the best of all the opportunities that come her way. In college she must face the infamy and scrutiny that comes with dating Cole Stone as well as dealing with the pressures of being an O’Connell. Just as she learns to find her way, life changing prospects for Cole force Tessa to steel herself and be there, body and soul for the one man for whom she’d just about do anything in the world. As Cole learns to find himself again, it’s Tessa who needs to stand by his side and keep his demons at bay this time around. Can she be enough for the person who has been her solid ground for so long, all the while, keeping whispers of her self-doubt and crippling insecurities away?

In Part Two, Tessa finds herself adjusting to life as a fresh graduate in New York. All alone, with an unexpected new job and desperately missing her boyfriend as he gets through law school, Tessa has certainly seen better days. But with Cole’s unwavering love on her side, she’s ready to conquer the world and build a life together with the man she’s going to marry, even if sometimes she’s got to do it all by herself. The insecurities and fears that plagued their relationship have now evolved into a love so strong, it can weather anything—even a long distance relationship. After five wonderful years together, there’s nothing that’s going to get in the way of their happily ever after…or is there? On their own for the first time in a long time, Cole and Tessa struggle to make sense of their changed reality which threatens to pull the two away from each other. The one thing they know is that they’re meant to be and they’ll do whatever it takes to stay together, despite the curveballs thrown their way. With old friends and new, one crazy Nana, stepbrothers and snarky co-workers, Cole and Tessa are ready to make the transition into their real life as a couple and this is the story of how two people fight the odds to create their forever.
