Review:

Sutten Mountain is back! We first met Pippa in the first book in the series, “Rewrite Our Story,” which followed her best friend and her brother falling in love, and now it’s Pippa’s turn! She’s not the only one who we’ve already met though — Camden, her love interest, was first introduced to us in Kat’s standalone book “Black Ties & White Lies.” He’s a billionaire (and Beckham from BT&WL’s best friend) who opens up an art gallery next door to Pippa’s bakery, and as you can assume, things get…messy.

This book hits a ton of tropes — small town romance, enemies to lovers, billionaire, and age gap. If you’ve read my reviews before, you know I love an enemies to lovers book, so I was so excited to read this one from Kat! It’s a true enemies to lovers, with Cam and Pippa getting off on the wrong foot right away…and taking awhile to come back from that. Pippa isn’t one to let someone walk all over her (and being an art gallery billionaire doesn’t mean you get an exception), which I love about her. Overall, I loved getting to read how their relationship slowly developed and changed over time, as well as getting to see characters from the previous books make appearances! 

Although this book is a standalone, I’d recommend reading “Black Ties & White Lies” and “Rewrite Our Story” first. It’s not necessary to understand this book, but there are overlapping characters (plus locations), so it’ll enhance your reading experience! All of the books are great, so why not read more?! I’m excited for the next book in the interconnected standalone series, too! 

As with all new adult/adult romance books I review on here, I recommend this book for readers who are 18+ — but don’t let me tell you what to do! Huge thank you to Kat and her team for providing me with an early copy to review! The book is available now, with both discreet and people covers!
