[REVIEW] ‘All In Pieces’ by: Suzanne Young

Synopsis:
Savannah Sutton is currently a student at Brooks Academy, because she stabbed her ex-boyfriend with a pencil for making fun of her disabled brother, Evan. Savannah struggles to take care of her younger brother after her mother left and because her alcoholic father wants nothing to do with him. Cameron is Savannah’s classmate at Brooks, and he only talks to her. But with her aunt seeking custody of her brother and her ex out for revenge, she doesn’t have the time or the energy for Cameron. If she decides to let him in, she just might fall apart.

Rating: 4/5 stars

Review:

This book is really good. Savannah is a strong lead character, and you can’t help but be drawn to how much she cares for her little brother, Evan. Her relationship with her friends is strong too. I liked how her and Cameron’s relationship slowly built, and how Savannah evolved from beginning to end. She’s brave and strong willed, and even though at first glance she just seems like a girl with anger issues, that’s barely a scratch to the surface of her character. I would recommend this book to anybody looking for great YA contemporary!
