In a surprise Instagram video, it was announced via the official After Movie social media accounts today that filming has just wrapped for a fifth “After” movie, titled “After Everything.” The “After” movies are film adaptations of books by the same name from Wattpad sensation Anna Todd. However, “After Everything” is not a book written by Todd in the series.
The surprise announcement was made by actor Hero Fiennes Tiffin, who portrays love interest Hardin Scott in the franchise. Although no further details have been released, it is assumed that Josephine Langford also reprised her role as protagonist Tessa Young, as the caption on the announcement reads, in part: “Hessa’s story isn’t over.”

Two additional movies in the franchise were previously announced, with one being a prequel surrounding Hardin, and one being a next generation film focusing on Tessa and Hardin’s children, Emery and Auden, and their cousin, Addy. Along with that announcement came the news that Fiennes Tiffin and Langford would not be portraying the characters of Tessa and Hardin, although it’s possible that has changed, but it’s more likely that “After Everything” is a completely new film.
What do you think “After Everything” is about? The (previously final) next installment of the “After” franchise, “After Ever Happy,” releases in US theaters on September 7, 2022.
